Begonia Maculata Wightii
These Begonias are the more exotic relatives of the Begonias you'd typically find in your garden. These unusual tropical plants look like they've been splattered in white paint, with gorgeous red undersides to their foliage. If you keep them happy, they'll reward you by blooming delicate white flowers.
Light: Bright indirect sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. Rooms that do not receive sufficient enough indirect light may also stunt growth or even cause damage to the plant.
Watering: Different environments can mean different watering times. Please allow top of soil to dry before watering to prevent root rot.
Soil: Well-draining soil. Ideal potting mixture will be one part perlite/coarse potting sand, one part loam soil.
Temperature: This Begonia will be grateful for a spot that is kept warm all year round, ideally between 18°c and 30°c.
Repotting: Repot your Begonia every spring, increasing the pot size by 2cm if you want to encourage growth.
Plant Care Level: Intermediate
