Hoya Carnosa 'Tricolor'
The Hoya plants are a family of waxy, evergreen leaves. They are naturally a trailing plant, however, you can train them to climb and vine around things too - these characteristics being famous for their popularity.
The Hoya Carnosa ‘Tricolour’ gets it’s nickname from their pink vines and it’s beautiful green, cream and pink waxy leaves. The Hoya Triclour is a popular houseplant Choice due to its attractive foliage and clusters of sweet scented, star shaped pink-white flowers.
Light: Avoid placing in direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. Your Hoya will prefer a brightly lit room with indirect sunlight.
Watering: Allow top 1-2cm of soil to dry out before re-watering to prevent root rot. This will be around once a week in the warmer months and once ever 2 to 3 weeks during late autumn and winter.
Soil: Well draining soil. Two parts peat-free compost, one part perlite.
Temperature: They enjoy temperatures between 16-27°C. They can tolerate temperatures as low as 10°C, and as high as 35°C.
Repotting: Hoyas don't require regular repotting. Consider repotting yours every 5 years.
