Nephrolepis 'Sword Fern'
The Sword Fern is a great choice for someone who wants a plant that adds volume to their plant collection. Its bushy foliage will start to trail under its own weight, which can make these plants ideal for hanging or for sitting on any surface.
Light: Keep your fern out of direct sunlight as over-exposure to sunlight can cause the leaves to scorch. A moderate to bright room will suit this plant.
Watering: Ferns love water. Watering once or twice a week will keep them from drying out, along with daily misting or an electronic humidifier.
Soil: Well-draining soil. Ideal potting mixture will be one part perlite/coarse potting sand, one part loam soil.
Temperature: Ferns thrive between 18-23°C, but can withstand temperatures of 32°c as an absolute maximum.
Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years and increase pot size by 2cm.
Plant Care Level: Intermediate
