Rhipsalis are part of the cacti family, with around 35 different identifiable species of Rhipsalis around the world. However, Rhipsalis are typically found in the jungle - and whilst slightly more drought tolerant, require watering like any other houseplant. They are relatively easy plants to look after. The Cassutha has long spindly tendrons that cascade from its pot.
Light: Bright, but indirect sunlight provides the best conditions for your Rhipsalis.
Watering: Water once a week to ensure that they grow healithly. Check that the top layer of soil is dry before watering to prevent overwatering.
Soil: Use well-draining potting soil. Ideal potting mixture will be one part perlite/coarse potting sand, one part loam soil. No need to use cactus mix as this is primarily for desert cacti.
Temperature: They prefer temperatures between 21-24°C, but can tolerate a minimum temperature of 16°C
Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years and increase the pot size by 2cm.
