The Asparagus Fern is also commonly known as the 'lace fern' are fast growing plants and can reach heights of 2.5 meters! Their feather-like foliage is growing ever more popular and the produce small green-white flowers during summer, which develop into small purple berries.
Light: Keep your fern out of direct sunlight as over-exposure to sunlight can cause the leaves to scorch. A moderate to bright room will suit this plant.
Watering: Ferns love water. Watering once or twice a week will keep them from drying out, along with daily misting or an electronic humidifier.
Soil: Well-draining soil. Ideal potting mixture will be one part perlite/coarse potting sand, one part loam soil.
Temperature: Ferns thrive between 18-23°C, but can withstand temperatures of 13°c as a minimum throughout winter.
Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years and increase pot size by 2cm.
