Aglaonema Silver Queen
Aglaonema Silver Queen
Aglaonemas, otherwise called 'Chinese Evergreens' aren't too fussy. This means they are great plants for beginners, although also rewarding with their eye-catching foliage.
The Silver Queen has eye catching, long and marbled leaves. Although a slow-grower, it can reach up to four feet tall.
Light: Keep in indirect sunlight; over-exposure to the sun can cause the leaves to scorch. The Silver Queen will appreciate a bright room, although tolerant of a shaded room.
Watering: Allow the top 1-2cm of soil to dry out before re-watering. Water around once a week in the warmer months, and once every two to three weeks in late autumn and winter.
Soil: Well-draining potting soil is perfect for the Silver Queen. Or if you prefer to make your own it should consist of one part peat-free compost, one part perlite.
Temperature: The Silver Queens like regular room temperatures between of 18-24°C, and avoid cold draughts.
Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years and increase pot size by 2cm.
Plant Care Level: Moderate.
