Ceropegia Linearis 'String of Needles'

Ceropegia Linearis 'String of Needles'

Ceropegia is a class of plants within the family of the Apocynaceae, native to Africa and Southern Asia. The Ceropegia Linearis, or more commonly known as ’String of Needles’ is cousins to one of the most sought after houseplants, the String of Hearts. This is a perfect choice of plant if you're looking for something a little more unusual.

Light: Place your Ceropegia in a bright room, but not in direct sunlight.

Watering: To keep your Ceropegia healthy water them once every 10 to 14 days. The String of Hearts are fairly drought-resistant, although do not cope well with being over-watered. Ensure water has fully drained after each watering.

Soil: Make sure the soil is well drained. As Ceropegias prefer a cactus potting mix to a regular potting mix. This consists of 3 parts potting soil, 2 parts coarse sand and 1 part perlite.

Temperature: Ceropegia plants like the temperature to be between 26-29°C.

Repotting: Repot your Ceropegia every 18-24 months. Try and increase the pot size by 2cm.
