Epiphyllum Guatamalensis

Epiphyllum Guatamalensis

£17.00

The Epiphyllum Guatemalnsis forms part of the cactus and succulent family, meaning they are super easy to care for! They get their nickname ‘Curly Locks’ from their twisting leaves and stems. They can produce 3-inch wide white flowers with 6-inch long tubes that open at night. Once these are pollinated, bright pink, oval seedy fruits are produced. Because of this, Epiphyllum plants are often called orchid cacti.

Light: Your 'curly locks' can tolerate the morning sun but prefers to be slightly shaded in indirect sunlight from the afternoon heat

Watering: Once a week or when the soil begins to dry out.

Soil: The Epiphyllum Guatamalensis likes potting soil with Peat and Sand. If you want to make your own it's one part peat and 1 part sand.

Temperature: 7-21°C but will tolerate heat if well-shaded and get mist later in the day.

Repotting: Repot every 7 years and when you do, try to increase the pot size by 2cm.

Plant Care Level: Beginner

*Plant does not come with pot.
