Philodendron Scandens 'Micans'


The Philodendron Scanden's natural home is in Central America and the Caribbean. It’s a fast-growing climber, reaching heights of up to six metres. If you like a big plant but don’t have space for one that spreads out, then this one is perfect. They can either be left to trail, or can be trained to climb. The 'Micans' variety has soft, velvety leaves.

Light: Medium to bright indirect sunlight.

Watering: Water once a week to ensure they are healthy and full of life.

Soil: Well-draining soil. Ideal potting mixture will be one part perlite/coarse potting sand, one part loam soil.

Temperature: They love between 12-30°C, but will tolerate 7°C in Winter and up to 32°C in the Summer.

Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years and increase pot size 2cm.

Plant Care Level: Beginner
