Senecio 'String of Beads'
Senecios, whilst succulents, require the attention and care of other houseplants. Whilst slightly pickier about their homes, needing a bright spot though whilst minimising direct sunlight exposure as much as possible, they will reward their owners with dramatic cascading foliage.
The string of beads, often mistaken for its extremely popular cousin, has slightly elongated spheres for foliage.
Light: Bright, but indirect sunlight provides the best conditions for your Senecio.
Watering: Water once a week to ensure that they grow healithly. Check that the top layer of soil is dry before watering to prevent overwatering.
Soil: Sandy soil. 3 parts potting soil to 1 part sharp sand.
Temperature: They prefer temperatures between 20-22°C.
Repotting: Younger ones each Spring and older ones every two years.
Plant Care Level: Beginner.
