Philodendron Verrucosum
Philodendron Verrucosum
The Verrucosum is a gorgeous rare variety of Philodendron. Iridescent velvety foliage sits on top of long-reaching hairy pink stems. This is a vining plant so support will be required for upwards growth.
Light: Bright indirect light to encourage fast growth. Will tolerate slightly shadier spots.
Watering: Allow the top 1-2cm of soil to dry out before re-watering. Water around once a week in the warmer months, and once every two to three weeks in late autumn and winter.
Soil: Well-draining potting soil is perfect. Or if you prefer to make your own it should consist of two parts peat-free compost, one part perlite.
Temperature: 18-26°C, and avoid cold draughts.
Repotting: Repot every 1-3 years and increase pot size by 2cm.
Plant Care Level: Beginner.
