Senecio 'String of Dolphins'
Senecios, whilst succulents, require the attention and care of other houseplants. Whilst slightly pickier about their homes, needing a bright spot though whilst minimising direct sunlight exposure as much as possible, they will reward their owners with dramatic cascading foliage.
The string of dolphins is a truly peculiar member of the senecio family, with its foliage truly resembling leaping dolphins. This is perfect for someone who is after something a bit unusual to add to their plant collections.
Light: Getting the light right for your String of Dolphins can be quite difficult. They either need to be in a well-lit room, or they need to receive 1-2 hours of direct light either in the morning or evening.
Watering: Water sparingly. It can be more effective to bottom-water your string of pearls to help avoid over watering. Water if the 'Dolphins' start to look more dull.
Soil: Well-draining potting soil is necessary to avoid root rot.
Temperature: Anywhere from 16°c to 23°c.
Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years and increase pot size by 2cm.
Plant Care Level: Advanced.
*Plant does not come with pot.
